JAI HO HO HO! – CHRISTMAS CONCERT 2018

Our Dec 6th Christmas concert ‘Jai Ho Ho Ho’ went with a bang this year. It was held in the iconic St. Mary’s Church in the heart of Walthamstow Village and the concert was named after the song ‘Jai Ho’ (featured in the 2008 hit film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and made famous by The Pussycat Dolls). WAVE performed an arrangement of this song complete with body percussion, guttural sounds and mermaids on the rocks! (Join the choir to find out more…!)

We also were privileged to welcome Latin pianist Sara Dhillon as our accompanist and soul diva Alicia Wilkins as our soloist. These two musicians added sparkle and excitement to the event.

In addition WAVE performed a selection of their signature arrangements such as ‘Ding Dong’ and ‘When The Saints’ and our audience joined in with some festive carols. The evening wouldn’t have been complete without the skilful MC skills of Jo Clare, and, to top it all off, there was delicious mulled wine and a raffle! A fantastic evening was had by all.
